City and Los Angeles Unified School District partnering to better prepare for earthquakes.

On January 17, 2007, at 8:30 a.m., the City of Los Angeles will host a press conference at the Northridge Fashion Center as part of its annual emergency preparedness exercise.

WHY:

City of Los Angeles conducting annual emergency preparedness exercise which will include the set-up of a Unified Command Post at the Northridge Fashion Center, an all City employee Duck Cover and Hold Drill and a Duck Cover and Hold Drill in all Los Angeles Unified School District schools. This exercise will be held on thirteenth anniversary of the Northridge earthquake.
