Earthquake Science and Safety

When talking about earthquakes, it is not a question of 'if', but of 'when'. Of all of Earth's natural disasters, earthquakes are argued as one of the most dangerous. Originating deep within the Earth's plates, earthquakes are the only natural disaster that remains unpredictable to this day. Spend some time with Tom Jordan as he explains, in detail, the science behind earthquakes and their causes. The greatest earthquake casualties in countries such as the US are not caused by the quake itself, but from its aftermath. Mark Benthien discusses how to prepare, survive and recover after the next 'big one'.
